Anthony Joshua v Joseph Parker Betting Updates
2018 is a massive year for the Heavyweight division and if Joshua beats Parker as expected, it will further encourage a big comeback from “The Gypsy King” Tyson Fury later in the year.
He may well take on Tony Bellew on route to Joshua. But first of all, AJ has a big and dangerous Joseph Parker to deal with – who is fresh after beating Fury’s cousin Hughie in his last fight.
Where and when?
Saturday March 31st, Principality Stadium in Cardiff. Ring walk-on 11pm (approx)
Where can I watch Joshua v Parker?
The first super-fight of 2018 is upon us, as Anthony Joshua welcomes Kiwi technician Joseph Parker to Cardiff for their title unification bout on March 31st.
With Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom promotion teaming up with Sky Box Office, this event will be huge and available only via Pay-Per-View. But if you gather a few mates around, have a few bets and all chip in for the PPV and some beer & snacks, it is the perfect boys night in!

What Round will Joshua Finish Parker?
With the Joshua v Parker fight just days away now, punters will be getting their boxing bets on in time for the big night in Cardiff on March 31st.
Joshua is of course odds-on to win by KO once again, but what round will he do it in? For an early stoppage, Betfair offers 11/1 Joshua to win in Round 3. Ladbrokes have 10/1 Round 6 which will appeal to many, but Joseph Parker is renowned to have a granite chin, so perhaps the 14/1 from Sun Bets about a 10th Round Stoppage for Joshua is the better value. Whatever your choice, be sure to shop around!
28/3/18 Update – All Eyes on AJ as pressure builds ahead of Saturday!
When you beat Wladimir Klitschko to become the Heavyweight Champion of the World, the weight of expectation and pressure rises exponentially.
So far, Anthony Joshua has risen to the occasion, but you get the feeling he needs a real statement win in Cardiff on Saturday night against Kiwi visitor Joseph Parker, whose WBO Heavyweight belt Joshua would rather like to wrestle off him by way of a KO win once again.
The British boxing fans are waiting and the boxing world is holding it’s breath. Where are you watching the fight? Wherever it may be, make sure not to miss the ring walk, set to be at around 10pm GMT on Sky Sports Box Office Pay Per View.
26/3/18 Update – Joshua Shuns New Zealand Media to add fuel to Parker’s Fire
Make no mistake about it, Joseph Parker believes he is going to knock out Anthony Joshua next Saturday night on the 31st of March, for the Heavyweight super-clash in Cardiff. This week, Joshua rejected the opportunity to be interviewed by the travelling Kiwi media, in a move that noticeably annoyed Parker.
Hopefully Joshua can restore some respect before Fight Night, but of course for now the Watford man – who won Olympic Gold in London six years ago now – is focused fully on beating this challenger and maintaining his seeming path to greatness. You can still get betting odds of 11/2 on ‘Joshua to be Knocked Down’ and still go on to win with Coral or Ladbrokes, which isn’t a bad price!
